Description
Sometimes, it seems like people are able to get away with all kinds of sin. They rebel against God, and nothing seems to happen. We may even have times when we think, Maybe I can violate God’s law just once and not suffer the consequences.
This is dangerous thinking because the penalties for sin might not always be immediate or external, but they are inevitable. In this sermon, Dr. Stanley explains the importance of:
Never deceiving ourselves into thinking we can get away with sin. The Enemy will always try to hide the consequences from us and attempt to convince us we can get away with our sins.
Knowing that God will not be mocked. We cannot outwit Him. When we think, I know what You’re saying, God, but . . . we are mocking the Lord. However we’ve chosen to rationalize our behavior, it will not work. We cannot circumvent God’s law.
We reap what we sow. God gave us this principle not only to provide for us, but also to help us prosper. We are going to reap what we sow, more than we sow, later then we sow.
It is dangerous to sin against God and think that you will escape the consequences. Now’s the time to face up to the sin in your life. Look ahead to tomorrow, next week, next month, or the coming years and ask yourself if you want to reap the results of the actions and decisions you’re sowing today.
