First Peter was written to encourage persecuted believers, that they might conduct themselves courageously for Christ. Peter says there is a way to face trials that goes beyond mere survival—a path of victory that leads us into a closer walk with our loving heavenly Father.
In this first volume of Living Triumphantly: A Study of First Peter, Dr. Stanley begins by reminding us that trials are inevitable. No follower of Christ ever completely escapes adversity, distress, or even persecution. Spending of funds is confined to board approved programs and projects. Each restricted contribution designated towards a board approved program or project will be used as designated with the understanding that when the need for such a program or project has been met, or cannot be completed for any reason determined by the board, the remaining restricted contributions designated for such program or project will be used where needed most.
