Obedience is an attitude we have to learn to embrace. It’s not a trait we automatically acquire when we become Christians. Thankfully, the Bible gives us clear instructions on how to obey God, and Jesus provided us with a perfect example of submission to the Father.

In this message, Dr. Stanley explains how partial obedience is the greatest enemy to obedience. He also says that, in order to be completely obedient to God, we must:

- Choose to trust Him
- Determine to wait upon God in prayer
- Learn to meditate on His Word every day
- Walk when the way is not clear
- Be willing to experience conflict
- Leave the consequences to Him
- Accept His divine chastisement in response to disobedience

Many times, we want to know what God will do before we choose to obey Him, but that is not what He desires. All we need to do is step out in faith and obey God today—He will take care of tomorrow.
