Description
Jesus made very clear to His followers that His life was dedicated to fulfilling God’s plan and purpose. He spoke of His death and resurrection more than once. Yet following the crucifixion, the disciples held no hope for the leader they had followed. They did not wait at the borrowed tomb for His return. They did not watch for the fulfilment of His prophesied resurrection.
Instead, they went home.
Have you ever felt like a disciple without hope? Where the promises of Jesus and His presence in your life fade in comparison to the circumstances weighing heavy on your heart? In this message, Dr. Stanley leads us in a study of Scripture that will empower us to move beyond the tremendous burdens we face.
Abiding, eternal hope can be found in our relationship to the resurrected Lord. No matter what happens, because He lives, we can walk in confident assurance of His presence and His power in our lives. He is our perfect source of hope for this life and for the life to come.
