Description

Prayer should be a priority for every servant of God. It is life’s greatest time-saver and is essential to a ministry leader’s personal life, leadership, teaching, and relationships. If we don’t spend time on our knees before the Lord, we will find our ministries fail to have a lasting impact for the kingdom of God.

In this message, Dr. Stanley looks at the role of prayer in a ministry leader’s authority. He shares how we need to stay where God plants us until he moves us elsewhere and that every decision needs to be founded on the answer to the question: What would God have me do?

Because of the heaviness of the task, we can get weary in the work of the Lord. Our success depends upon the relationship each of us has with our heavenly Father. Prayerlessness leads to failure, weariness, discouragement, and disillusionment—all of which leave us burdened and can eventually cause us to drop out of ministry.

We can be strong and courageous in our roles as ministry leaders if we realize our potential for God is magnified in proportion to the time we spend on our knees before Him.

This sermon is part of the series The Prayer Life of a Ministry Leader.
