You probably know that it’s wrong to waste money and time. But did you realize that we also shouldn’t waste our suffering? As believers, we should choose to learn from life’s troubles. Instead of merely surviving adversity, we can actually profit from it.
In this sermon, Dr. Stanley teaches why Christians should view difficulty and pain differently than the world. First, we can rest in the truth that our sovereign, loving God controls the degree and length of our suffering. Second, we need to remember that from an eternal perspective, all hardship—at least for believers—is temporary. Third, we can choose to see every struggle as an opportunity to grow in our faith and become more like Jesus Christ.
