There is one distinguishing mark of a disciple that sets him apart from everyone else: “That you love one another” (John 13:35).
In this message, Dr. Stanley describes the “badge” of true discipleship as loving one another. We are called to love others not as we love ourselves, but as God loves us. It is this badge of love that we wear every day of our lives and that sets us apart from the world.
In John 13:34-35, Jesus says “love one another” three times in only two verses, which is a very strong emphasis. He is calling us as his followers to love other people, and it is in that loving of others that we are fully identified with Him.
This message is part of the sermon series "Called To Be A Disciple".
