In “Believers at the Judgment,” Dr. Stanley recognizes the sense of fear and uncertainty we may have at our judgment day. He explains that we, as believers, may misunderstand its purpose, feel guilty about our past, or fear giving a full account of our life at the judgment seat of Christ. Dr. Stanley states that God’s ultimate purpose in the judgment is to bring glory to Himself. In return for those glorifying deeds we have committed on earth, He will determine to what degree our eternal rewards and privileges will further bestow glory and honor to Him in heaven. The purpose of the judgment is not where we spend eternity, but how.
