Description
We live in a world where many people don’t believe in moral absolutes or live by a set of convictions. Instead, as Scripture describes it, they do whatever seems “right in their own eyes.”
In this message, Dr. Stanley talks about the motivation and results of Daniel’s commitment to stand by his biblical beliefs. Dr. Stanley also challenges us to ask ourselves:
- What convictions do we hold that guide our conduct?
- What convictions do we hold that we are not willing to compromise?
- When confronted by unbelievers or carnal Christians, do we have the courage to stand by our convictions despite threatening consequences?
If we give up on our principles, it’s usually because we fear criticism, rejection, failure or loss. Learn to develop a sense of courage based on the goodness and sovereignty of God that can carry you beyond your fears.
This message is part of the series "The Courage to Stand."
