Description
All around us a war is being waged, and as followers of Jesus Christ, we are called to fight the good fight.
In his second letter to Timothy, the apostle Paul challenges the young pastor to “suffer hardship … as a good soldier of Christ” (2:3). Like Timothy, we too are being called to suffer hardship. But what is this hardship? And what does it look like be a good soldier?
In this six-sermon series, Dr. Stanley describes this ongoing conflict, outlines the characteristics of a good soldier, and teaches us how to face an increasingly dark world with a faith grounded in Scripture and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
When the battle draws to a close, as God triumphs over our enemies, we should all be able to say, along with Paul, “I have fought the good fight” (2 Tim. 4:7).
