You’ve probably prayed it often. It might even be your favorite psalm. This world is full of danger, and the words of Psalm 91 have a special way of soothing our fears: “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty” (v. 1).
Still, we sometimes wonder why trials and trouble beset us, even as we cling to God’s promises. Understanding what’s really meant in these verses will remind us to stay where we belong—close to our God—and accept some difficulties as part of life.
Dr. Stanley takes us step by step through a beloved passage of the Bible and helps us understand the true nature of God’s faithful protection and our role of abiding. Find renewed confidence in this treasure of Scripture, and trust in a Father who loves you.
