Often, God allows adversity in our lives to get our attention or to help us in the process of self-examination. But adversity is always an expression of His love toward us.
In part one of this seven-sermon series, Dr. Charles Stanley looks at the life of Paul, a man who enjoyed spiritual insights no one had ever experienced before. In order to keep Paul humble so that he might be used for even greater things, God allowed him to face adversity.
Though it may seem like a contradiction, God humbles us in order to send His strength and blessings into our lives. He advances us towards His purpose.
