We know God clearly speaks to us through His Word, the Holy Spirit, our circumstances, and other people. He does this so we will understand the truth and be conformed to it and share it with others.

But what happens when we don’t listen to Him? In this message, Dr. Stanley explains the eight consequences of failing to listen to God:

- We listen to the wrong voices.
- We are easily deceived.
- We express pride and independence.
- We make decisions that appeal to the flesh.
- We make excuses and blame others.
- We suffer the consequences.
- We cause those around us to suffer.
- We miss out on God’s best.

The consequences to disobeying God are painful to endure. Be sure you’re listening to God by accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior, reading His Word, and fellowshipping with a church that teaches the truth of Scripture. Also, evaluate your life often to be sure you are constantly listening to God.
