Description
Are you trusting in Jesus or your good works? Dr. Stanley continues his examination of Paul’s letter to the Galatians with “In Defense of Our Liberty,” as he guides us through Galatians 1:11-2:10.
The people of Galatia were confused about how they were to be accepted by God. Paul preached that men are saved by faith, while false teachers said that salvation comes by adhering to the law of Moses.
Paul boldly builds his case by first convincing the church that his gospel came to Him from God, not man. Therefore, to reject him was to reject God.
Dr. Stanley says the same issue of authority is with us today. Without a foundation in God’s Word, we are bound to fall into false teaching. Any system that subverts the grace of God through faith and love is contrary to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
