God is the only worthy object of our faith. His sovereign power enables us to become the people He wants us to be.
In part three of this seven-sermon series, Dr. Charles Stanley explains that God allows adversity in our lives as a means of purifying our faith. And this faith is neither the faith we may have inherited from our parents nor the textbook faith that may come from what we have read. Rather, it’s a faith in God that has been proven time and time again through our personal experiences of adversity.
Trials confirm, strengthen, and perfect our faith in the Lord. But they also serve to sift our friendships, helping us to discover who our true friends really are.
This message is part of the series "Advancing Through Adversity."
