Do you enjoy meeting the needs of those around you? If so, you probably have the motivational gift of service.

- An alertness to detect practical needs and a desire to meet them
- Receives joy in serving others when it frees them to do more important things, not just to stay busy
- A tendency to disregard personal health and comfort in serving others
- The need for appreciation to confirm that service is necessary and satisfactory
- A strong desire to be with others, thus providing more serving opportunity 
- An enjoyment of short-range projects and a tendency to become frustrated with long-range responsibilities
- A tendency to feel inadequate and unqualified for spiritual leadership

Dr. Stanley also explains how people misunderstand these qualities and what happens when a person with the motivational gift of service walks in the Spirit rather than in the flesh.

Learn to love those with the gift of service in your life and ask God to help you encourage them to honor the Lord and faithfully serve Him.
